Cultural Passport No. 02
New Orleans,
Louisiana
2024
A collection of documentary films, gatherings, and cultural stories exploring the people, traditions, and creative communities shaping New Orleans.
New Orleans has long stood as one of America's great cultural crossroads — a city shaped by French, Spanish, Caribbean, African, and Creole influences that continue to define its identity today. From the invention of jazz and blues to Mardi Gras traditions, second lines, culinary history, spiritual practices, and neighborhood celebrations, New Orleans has influenced music, culture, and American identity across the world. Through this project, we wanted to celebrate the people, traditions, creativity, and communities that continue to shape the city today — while helping preserve and honor the stories that make New Orleans unlike anywhere else.

A cultural showcase hosted inside and around a historic double shotgun house in New Orleans' Bywater neighborhood. The gathering brought together visual artists, photographers, musicians, installations, food, and community performances in a celebration of local culture, creativity, and connection across New Orleans communities.
